A Man's Worth
I wonder how much is a man worth
whether it depends on wealth, fame, or birth
The wisdom that he has acquired all his life
Or lessons learned through internal strife.
What authority does someone have
To decide who we are and what we have
when he himself is full of fault
To judge someone, when his advice is sought.
what is that which is so valuable
That when acquired, makes a man invaluable
What is that talent so great
That can change a person's fate.
If good and bad are basically relative
And karma is supposedly cumulative
who are we to judge one's worth
Based on his fleeting span of life on earth.
